Dear business and sales professional:

Most web copy is typically written by the web designer or by the client, neither usually having any experience in writing direct response sales copy that is the least bit persuasive.

The end result is that most websites just doesn’t generate the traffic or results necessary to make it successful.

Hi, I’m Merrill Clark, a New Hampshire web and SEO copywriter from Crestview Marketing Services.

You see, my job is to help you become more successful by learning about your business, your products or services, your customers, your target markets…

And then writing persuasive online sales copy for your websites, e-mail campaigns, blogs, articles, auto-responders, and online ads that compel your website visitors to take some sort of pre-determined action.

I offer my clients a wide range of website and Internet copywriting and marketing services including…

  • Website SEO strategy
  • SEO web page copywriting
  • Keyword research
  • Overall website strategy, organization, and layout
  • Online lead generation strategy
  • E-mail marketing copywriting and strategy
  • Pay-per-click ads and strategy
  • Landing Page copy
  • Blog and article copywriting
  • Newsletter copywriting
  • Auto-responder copywriting and strategy

You see, when a visitor shows up on your website or sees an e-mail from you, the goal is to get them to immediately say “Hey… I’m in the right place to get exactly what I’m looking for”.

You see, if the right words are used in the copy, it compels your visitor to give you their contact information or a credit card number.

But…It’s not fast or easy to write compelling copy that gets the attention of your visitors and the search engines, while at the same time, making it sound completely natural.

Here’s some of the critical things that are I normally do when I take on a web copywriting project: (and frankly, most other web design and copy agencies don’t do)

  • Research keywords and keyword phrases for titles, headlines, and copy
  • Gather your product and service information, study it, dig out the biggest customer benefits
  • Research and study information about your company
  • Research and study your “target market” and figure out their “hot buttons”
  • Research and compare your biggest competitors and what they offer
  • Research and study different alternatives to your product or service
  • I may read trade magazines and online forums that your “target market” uses
  • Survey others about their opinions on your product/service
  • At each step, taking lots of notes

Then…

  • Compile and sift through notes, finally coming up with “main ideas” for the web pages
  • Write 10-20 possible headlines for each page
  • Write a first rough draft, including everything learned that could possibly be important to the visitor
  • Re-write and revise the copy, maybe 5-10 times, removing unnecessary words or ideas, adding ideas, and tweaking words or paragraphs so they will be more compelling
  • Put it aside for a day or two, then read it aloud and maybe even has others read it
  • Write the final version of the copy

As you can see, writing persuasive direct response sales copy isn’t a walk in the park. Depending on the size of the site, it can easily take 70-100 hours of work.

But in the end, when the leads and profits start rolling in, you’ll be much happier the extra time was spent to do a thorough job.

So, if you want to take your website to the next level by…

  • More free traffic to your website
  • Visitors to find you on the internet
  • To capture more leads
  • To convert more leads to customers
  • Do some e-mail marketing
  • Want your site to be easier to navigate
  • To track your efforts
  • Test out some Pay-per-click ads

Then give me a call at 603-686-5140 or shoot me an e-mail so we can discuss your project further.
